Christmas Wreath Dog Treats

The most memorable Christmases include a mix of good company, good food and good fun. And today you’re in the best company, ‘cuz these tasty dog treats are the perfect way to include your four-legged best friend in all your holiday fun!

In fact, this recipe is so dog-gone delish, it’s been taste-tester approved and guaranteed wag-worthy by our little sous chefs LuLu, Leon and Ginger.

Let’s whip up a batch of healthy Christmas Wreath Dog Treats made with all natural ingredients and spread some cheer with our pups this season.

You’ll need…

Ingredients:

1 egg

1/4 cup of water

2oz cream cheese, well-softened

½ c of frozen chopped spinach

2 T coconut cooking oil

Approximately 1 ½ cups of flour (plus extra for rolling)

Dried cranberries

Time Required:

20 minutes

Servings:

10-20 yummy treats

Step 1

Using a food processor, blend the spinach, water, coconut oil and cream cheese until everything is mixed. Try not to over-blend. You should see small flecks of spinach throughout. Pour into a large bowl and add in the egg and stir together.

Step 2

Now start adding flour a little bit at a time to thicken the dough. Once it’s the right consistency, roll dough into little ropes, then pinching the ends together to make wreath shaped dog biscuits.

Step 3

Cut several dried cranberries into small pieces and place a few around the green wreaths to mimic holly berries.

Step 4

Bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned on the bottom. Once they cool, you can share your finished treats with your favorite furry friends! Store treats in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks or place in the freezer for up to 3 months.

You can also find a cute container wrapped with a festive bow and give these handmade treats as a delightful gift for dog lovers and their best fur-friend.

Wishing you a Merry Mutt-lovin’ Christmas to you and yours!
