DIY Howl-O-Weenie Ribbon Wreath

Some may wanna be creepin’ it real this Halloween, but today’s project is all about pup-kin spice and everything nice.

In honor of our furry four-legged hot dogs, we’re making a DIY Howl-O-Weenie Ribbon Wreath that’s snazzy, jazzy, and well, just too cute to spook! Oh, and be sure to fetch your two-legged little ghosts and goblins to pitch in – ‘cuz this project is super fun and easy for the entire family!

You’ll need…

Step 1

Paint the wreath with black paint until it’s completely covered. While it’s drying, you can start to cut ribbons into strips about 15+ inches in length.

Step 2

Tie ribbons around the wreath, overlapping a bit as you go, and secure them with a double knot. (Wider ribbons may only need to be tied in a single knot.) Be sure to vary your ribbons in color and width as you work your way around the wreath. Keep adding ribbons until you’re happy with how full your wreath is. Don’t worry about covering every inch of the wreath’s base – the black foam background will blend in nicely with your ribbons. 😉

Step 3

Cut a V-shape off the ends of your ribbons to give them a finished look.

Step 4

Attach your Halloween pup (or maybe you have a dog bone stuffy lying around the house?) to the wreath by pinning it in place.

Now isn’t this sweeter than a pumpkin spice latte? What a fetch-ing way to decorate your door this Halloween! And you can really get creative, just by using different ribbons. Any way you make it, you’ll find this quick and easy wreath is a real treat.

Wishing a happy Howl-O-Weenie to you and yours!
