27 Oct Cozy Felt Pawprint Ornaments

We’re back with another “shop your stash” quick and easy Christmas craft tutorial today – and fair warning – this one is so snuggly cute and totally addictive! Shout out to @fern.and.love for the inspo! 

If you have felt scraps from other projects, you’re off to a great start. This adorable (and affordable!) Felt Pawprint Ornament only uses a few supplies, but creates a cozy and festive addition to your holiday decorating. And the best part is that it’s easily customizable to match your pups coloring so you can make one for every pup in your family.

You’ll need…

• Pawprint cookie cutter
• Wool felt scraps in tan, brown, white and green
• Poly-Fil stuffing

• White jute twine
• Fabric glue
• Scissors
• Pen

1. Trace a pawprint shape twice onto a piece of tan felt using your cookie cutter. Cut the shapes out.
2. Place the cookie cutter onto a piece of brown felt to help you draw some toes and a paw pad. Cut everything out.
3. Use fabric glue to attach the toes and paw pad to one of the tan pawprints.
4. Glue both pawprints together – but only glue the top and sides of the paw. (You’ll want to leave a space open at the bottom.)
5. Lightly stuff the paw with some polyfil.
6. Before you close up the end, tuck a small loop of twine in the hole so you can hang your ornament when it’s done.
7. Attach a couple of green leaves to the pawprint and cut out a bunch of small white petals from the felt.
8. Add a spot of glue at the bottom of one petal and pinch it together.
9. Add a spot of glue at the bottom of another petal and attach it to the first.
10. Repeat this with all the other petals, working your way around the base of the flower.
11. Glue your little flower on top of the green leaves. Hang and enjoy!
