09 Aug DIY Dog Travel Bag Tags
So you’ve found the perfect spot for a pet-friendly vacation, mapped out your destinations and even bought your pup a fun new travel bag to hold all their canine gear. Looks like you’re all set for a vacay with your furry best friend, minus one very special item: a luggage tag. This adorable DIY Dog Travel Bag Tag will help customize their bag and can lead you back to it should it ever get lost.
Let’s give it a whirl!
You’ll need…
- Blank luggage tags
- Black and white photo of your pup
- Colorful scrapbook paper or wrapping paper
- Washi tape stickers
- Alphabet stickers
- Buttons, fabrics, ribbons, gems, etc.
- Mod podge
- Brush
- Scissors
- Glue
Step 1
Cut a piece of scrapbook paper to fit the tag, coat the back with Mod Podge and adhere it to the front of the tag.
Step 2
Use Mod Podge on the back of the photo and add it to the tag, along with any 2-D scrapbook goodies like stickers, washi tape, etc. Don’t forget to spell out your dog’s name with the alphabet stickers!
Step 3
Lightly coat everything with a layer of Mod Podge to secure it to the tag.
Step 4
Once the glaze has dried, finish embellishing the tag with your 3-D items, like gluing any ribbons, buttons and gems.
And you’re done! If you’d like, you can write your address on the back of the tag with permanent markers or decorate it with a few stickers. These really turned out so cute…such an adorable addition to your next travel adventure. It’s time to DIY yourself a unique and oh-so-colorful tag!
