Terracotta Carrot Dog Treat Jar

We came across the cutest idea for an Easter project by @the_magnolia_mercantile and thought it would be fun to give it our own dog momma twist!

Basically all you need is a small terracotta clay pot and saucer from any garden center or dollar store. Then give ‘em an easy spruce-up for Spring that’s quick as a bunny using a splash of orange and green paint, a little greenery and some doggie ribbon.

A hop, skip and a jump – and you’ve got yourself a darling DIY clay pot carrot that doubles as a festive dog treat jar! Oh hoppy day! 🐰

You’ll need…

  1. Apply a coat of orange paint to the pot and saucer. Let the paint dry and then apply a second coat, if necessary.
  2. Paint the little wooden candle cup using green paint. Once it’s dry, attach it to the bottom of the saucer and fill it with some greenery using hot glue.
  3. Stamp the word TREATS on the gift tag and tie it to the base of the green wood cup with the black and white twine.
  4. Make a sweet bow with the paw print ribbon and glue it to the base of the greenery.
  5. Place the saucer onto the clay pot and you’ve got an adorable terracotta carrot container!

This pretty pot is perfect for holding all your dog’s treats and goodies, and will look great in Easter pictures, too. Make the holiday even more special and fill it to the brim with homemade DIY carrot dog cookies baked with love for your little snugglebunny. 🐰
