Wireframe Carrot Door Decor

Hey craft room cutie… guess what we found at Dollar Tree that inspired this week’s craft? A ginomous wire carrot. 🥕😄

And surprise surprise! It turned into the cutest piece of Easter door décor.

We wrapped it in layers of burlap, orange velvet, and playful polka dot ribbons, then added a touch of mixed greenery to bring it to life. The finishing touch is the sweetest little bunny accent to welcome your guests with a smile when they come to your door.

So quick and easy to put together, this DIY Easter decoration is a fun alternative to the usual wreath!

You’ll need…

  1. Glue pieces of orange burlap to the back of the carrot frame. Cover every other section, starting with the top. (Then skip the zig zag section. Cover the next section. Skip the middle, etc.) Trim away the excess burlap.
  2. Cut a piece of the polka dot ribbon and glue it across the back of the frame in the zig zag section. Trim any excess ribbon. Repeat this step in the other zig zag section.
  3. Cut a piece of ribbon for the middle section and glue this onto the front of the wireframe. Trim the excess ribbon.
  4. Tuck two stems of faux greenery into the top of the carrot frame with the greenery in front of the frame. Trim the stems with wire cutters and glue the greenery in place so that it hides the top of the wire frame.
  5. Attach the bunny to the front of the carrot. Add a cute bow and pink pom pom for the nose. Hang and enjoy!

This is one of those projects that just brightens your day. It’s simple to make, fun to put together, and ends with a piece that feels full of rich textures and personality. And let’s be honest… that bunny detail really seals the deal!
