29 Mar Carrot Cake Dog Treats

It’s an egg-citing time for dogs around here ‘cuz we’ve got a fun and festive dog treat recipe for Easter! 

We’ve combined the best flavors to create a carrot cake recipe for pups that is utterly delicious. It’s so simple, moist, and flavorful – your pup won’t even miss the cream cheese frosting!

Not only are these springtime dog treats a breeze to whip up, but they’re also packed with wholesome goodness your dog will love. 😋 

Let’s hop right in…

You’ll need…

• 1/2 cup shredded carrot
• 1/2 cup steel cut oats
• 1/2 cup flour
• 1/2 tsp cinnamon
• 1/3 cup applesauce (xylitol free)
• 2 tbsp. dried unsweetened coconut flakes
• 1 tbsp. coconut oil
• 1 tbsp. honey
• Non-stick baking sheet

Time Required: 15 minutes prep. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 350°F.

Servings: 20 yummy treats

1. Shred ½ cup of carrot and set aside.
2. In a medium bowl, add oats, flour and cinnamon. Stir to combine.
3. Add carrot, applesauce, coconut flakes, coconut oil and honey to the bowl. Mix well.
4. Roll into small balls and place onto a non-stick baking sheet.
5. Press each ball to flatten into cookie shapes.
6. Bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned on the bottom.

Allow to cool, then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or place in the freezer for up to 3 months.
