29 Aug Wood Bead Girly Ghost Wreath
The days may still feel a little summery, but we know spooky season is on its way, so why not get a head start with a fun fall craft that sets the mood early?
Think farmhouse charm meets girly glam: a flowing ghost figure dressed in crisp white with accents of black & white florals and topped off with a sweet bow. It’s simple, stylish, and just the right mix of spooky and chic to add to your fall décor.
This Dollar Tree DIY is quick to make, budget-friendly, and a perfect way to sneak in some craft time before the holiday rush. This is one cute ghost you’ll actually be happy to have haunting your home!
You’ll need…
- 10 inch natural wood bead wreath
- White acrylic or chalk paint and brush
- Fat quarter of white fabric or spooky black and white fabric (we love this cute dog-themed one!)
- Small scrap of black felt
- 1.5 – .5 inch white and black ribbons
- Faux white sunflower and fall leaves
- Hot glue gun and sticks
- Scissors
- Gently bend the wood bead wreath into a ghost shape. Then paint the beads white and let it dry.
- Trace your ghost onto a piece of white fabric and cut it out. Glue the fabric to the back of your wreath form.
- Cut out two oval eye shapes and one round mouth shape from black felt. Glue these onto your ghost and watch her personality come to life.
- Make a cute bow from black and white ribbons and adhere this to the top of her head.
- Embellish your girly ghost in the lower right corner with a small white faux sunflower, leaves, and berries, and you’re done!
And just like that, you’ve created a ghost that’s more sweet than spooky! Whether you hang her on a door, wall, or tuck her into a seasonal display, she’s sure to bring smiles all season long.
