10 Jul DIY Doggie Travel Kit
Summer sun brings family fun – and that often means taking road trips with your pup!
Whether you’re jumping in the car for a spur-of-the-moment day trip or you’re planning a week-long family vacation, it’s important to think about what to bring along for your pup, so he or she is happy, safe and healthy while away from home.
Today, we’re going to walk you through some of the items we have in our own Doggie Travel Kit. Of course, feel free to add or remove items in your own list, based on where you plan to visit and the length of your stay.
Here are some items to consider…
Dog food
Bottled water
Toys
Collar, tags
Medications:
- Anti-anxiety treats
- Anti-nausea meds – specific to dogs
- Benedryl
Dog bed
Sweaters/winter coat/boots
Snout, paw and skin soothing balms
Mosquito, tick and flea repellent
Safety items: reflective gear, flashlight, pepper spray, whistle, horn, etc.
To make the trip as comfy and stress-free as possible, bring along items for your four-legged friend (like a blanket or toys) that have the scent of home. Check out our video below and gear up for your next adventure!
Vacations are simply better when we share them with our cuddly canine travel companions! Whether your hiking, swimming, sightseeing or enjoying lazy days with your favorite folks, we hope this travel kit gives you a head start when making your own pup packing list.
