This project is the brainchild of one of our recent brainstorms. We took one look at this set of doggie-themed kitchen towels and that’s when inspiration struck! And the best part? This effortless project is perfect for those not “sew” crafty gals (and guys) out there. You don’t have to have a sewing machine or even know how to use one to make these precious DIY Puppy Print Table Runners. schweeeet!

The trick is to find sets of kitchen towels that come with 2 different towels in coordinating fabrics. Once you do, you’re ready to serve up some DIY magic!

You’ll need…

2 sets of cotton kitchen towels in an adorable dog-theme print (or Lulu’s favorite hound print, of course!)

Double-sided fusible adhesive tape, ½ inch wide (or fabric glue)

Scissors

Iron

Instructions:

Step 1

Select two matching towels (one from each set) to become the middle or center portion of your runner and place them together so the short ends overlap by about a ½ inch.

Step 2

Place a piece of fusible adhesive tape in between the ends and iron them together.

Step 3

Take one of the remaining towels and tuck one of its shorter ends so that it’s under a short end of the middle piece by about a ½ inch.

Step 4

Place adhesive in between the ends and iron it to activate the adhesive.

Step 5

Repeat steps 3 and 4 with the last towel to adhere it to the other side of the middle piece. And you’re done!

Can you believe how simple that was? Just a little bit of time and absolutely no sewing!! So much to love <3 …just couldn’t wait to start dressing up the table with it!
