10 May Dollar Tree DIY Solar Lanterns
If you haven’t been in a while, then you’ve gotta RUN to your local Dollar Tree before they sell out! Every Spring they have cases of solar lights in a variety of styles and a nautical themed section filled with everything you need to make the prettiest and most Pawfect Dollar Tree DIY Solar Lanterns.
Now this hack couldn’t be easier. You only need a few simple supplies to create a magical atmosphere for your dog lovin’ friends and family all year long!
You can grab almost everything you need from Dollar Tree. If you need a Dollar Tree alternative check out the list below for similar items from Amazon.
You’ll need…
- Take a four inch piece of floral wire and fold it in half.
- Thread one end through the opening in the paw print charm. Then twist the wire to secure the charm in place.
- Thread both ends through a couple of wood beads to complete the embellishment.
- Wrap the ends of the wire around a hoop on the glass jar’s hanger and hide the wire ends in the top bead.
- Remove the stake end of the solar light and set it aside.
- Add a bead of hot glue around the edge of the glass jar (use both hot and super glue for a more secure fit) and set the solar light inside the jar.
- Place lanterns in the sun to charge and watch them light up when the sun goes down!
How easy was that? Each only takes about 5 minutes to make. And in no time at all, you can make enough to hang creatively from tree branches and enhance the ambiance of your outdoor space with a soft, warm glow.
