Dollar Tree DIY – Rainbow Bouquet

Ready to add a splash of color to your St. Patrick’s Day decor? This week’s Dollar Tree DIY is here to brighten your day with a beautiful, rainbow-inspired bouquet!

Using just a few items from Dollar Tree—like a metal napkin holder, some floral foam, fabric scraps, and kaleidoscope of faux flowers—you can whip up a cheerful centerpiece that’ll bring a wee bit ‘o sunshine to even the gloomiest of days. It’s quick, easy, and bound to make your spirits soar!

So grab your supplies, get ready to craft, and let’s make some rainbow magic together! 🌈

You’ll need…

  1. Trim off any excess foam so that it sits completely inside the napkin holder without peeking out of the top. In our example, we trimmed about an inch off the bottom. (Save the scraps for later!)
  2. Cut a piece of fabric large enough to cover the edges and one side of the floral foam and glue it in place. Don’t worry if the edges are not completely covered (or look a little messy). These will get covered later. Basically you want one large side of the foam covered in fabric with the remaining fabric wrapped over the foam edges. Repeat this step with the other piece of foam.
  3. Tuck the two pieces of foam into the napkin holder so the covered fabric side is facing outward. If there is any space between the foam, fill it with the left over foam scraps. Or make a third round foam shape to wedge in the middle. Glue the foam pieces in place, if needed.
  4. Cut a strip of fabric that’s roughly 17 x 2 inches and glue this across the top, sides and bottom of the foam to cover any bare spots. Trim any excess fabric.
  5. Glue faux flowers onto the foam shape from one end of the arch to the other in the order of a rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Add as many or as few flowers as you’d like to create your DIY rainbow bouquet.
  6. Dollar Tree has these fun green carnations in their St. Patrick’s Day collection that come with two glittery gold coins. Feel free to add the coins to your bouquet, if you have them, for a little extra sparkle.
  7. Tie a knot into a short piece of green ribbon. Then make a separate bow from the rainbow ribbon and glue both of these embellishments into the bouquet.

So cute and oh-so easy! This vibrant bouquet will not only bring a little luck of the Irish into your home but it will brighten up any space, rain or shine. 🍀🌈
