12 Sep Pumpkin Bites Dog Treats

This week, we’re trading in our glue guns for mixing bowls, so all the fun is happening in the kitchen!

We’re baking up adorable pumpkin bite dog treats made with pup-safe ingredients like pumpkin purée, coconut oil, honey, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. And with a few extra special touches, these goodies come out looking like the cutest little pumpkin cookies your furry friend will ever see.

Ready to whip up something your dog will love as much as you do? 🍂🐶

You’ll need…

• 1/4 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling, which contains ingredients that may be harmful to your dog)
• 1 teaspoon honey
• 1 tablespoon coconut oil
• ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 cup oat flour
• ½ teaspoon turmeric
• ½ teaspoon molasses

Time Required: 15 minutes + 18-2o minutes cooking time

Servings: 20 yummy treats

1. In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, honey, coconut oil, and cinnamon until well combined.
2. Gradually add the oat flour and mix until incorporated.
3. Remove a small amount of the dough and transfer to a small bowl.
4. Add turmeric to the larger portion of dough and mix well.
5. Add molasses to the smaller portion of dough and mix well.
6. Press into pumpkin shapes with stems and place onto a non-stick baking sheet. 
7. Place in an oven that has been preheated to 325°. Cook for 18-20 minutes. Allow to cool, then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or place in the freezer for up to 3 months.
