04 Sep DIY Bless This Messy Mutt Wreath
Today, we thought it’d be fun to create a dog-themed wreath using a few items we already have stashed around the house: a wreath form, some hot glue, a few embellishments, and a bunch of old recycled brown packing paper. And just wait ‘til you see the result! You’re gonna love this trash-to-treasure-it-forever project for sure!
This DIY Bless This Messy Mutt Wreath not only reflects our love of pups (of course!) but it turns out to be the most lovely doggie door decor with which to celebrate the end of Summer.
So grab your glue guns, it’s time to craft!!!
You’ll need…
- 16″ foam wreath
- Brown packing paper
- Fun dog themed sign
- Artificial silk flowers
- Hot glue gun and sticks
- Scissors
- Twine or ribbon
Step 1
Cut your paper into 4-5 inch strips, crunch them up into a ball and open them into long scrunchy shapes.
Step 2
Adhere the long crinkly strips of paper around the wreath form with glue (setting the strips snugly together) and continue until the wreath is completely covered.
Step 3
Now it’s time to personalize your recycled paper wreath with your favorite embellishments! Glue the dog sign and colorful flowers in place.
Step 4
Cut one foot of twine or ribbon and tie it around the top of the wreath for hanging.
With this cheerful canine wreath, you’ll be glad to “bless this mess”. Your happy work of art will add a warm farmhouse style for your front door, and it’ll look great hanging behind your couch or propped on your entryway table, too!
