05 Jan Dollar Tree DIY  Love Letter Garland

Here’s a fun dog-themed Dollar Tree DIY craft project in honor of your woofy floofy Valentine! 

We are totally crushing on this Love Letter Garland decor made of the cutest miniature felt envelopes. 😍 You have gotta give this one a go! Most everything you need to make this easy and inexpensive garland can be found in your craft stash or at the local Dollar Tree. 

Gather up a few felt scraps, some felt stickers, twine and glue and in no time at all you’ll have a pup-loving Valentine’s Day banner that’ll add the perfect little touch of hearts day around the house.

You’ll need…

• White felt
• Red Sharpie marker
• Fabric glue
• Felt heart stickers
• Felt alphabet stickers
• Scissors
• Red & white bakers twine

1. Cut out 6 envelope shapes that are about 3-4 inches wide.
2. Use a red pen or marker to make stitch marks around the bottom and sides (front of envelope) and flip it over to make marks along the triangle (back of envelope).
3. Fold the triangle part over to make an envelope shape, tuck some twine under the fold, and glue it down. Repeat until all envelopes are on the string. 
   TIP: Try not to glue the envelopes to the string, so you can adjust their placement and spacing later.
4.  Add felt stickers to decorate the envelope fronts. In this example, we spelled ❤️L❤️VE❤️ but you could easily customize the envelopes with your pup’s name instead!
5. Before you finish the banner, make a pawprint with the “O” by cutting out tiny toe shapes from an oversized heart in your package of stickers.
6. Hang on a mantel, bookcase or windowsill and enjoy!

Let your puppy love be known with these mini felt love letters! So budget-friendly and almost too darn easy to make. No stitching, no sewing, just fun! And the result is so special. Even on the cheap, this lovely felt Valentine’s Day envelope garland totally delivers!
