Mason Jar Lid Flowers

We’ve got the sweetest little summer craft for you this week that’s full of charm, color, and patriotic pride!

Using just simple Dollar Tree finds and a few items from your craft stash, you can make a little magic that brings red, white, and blue to life. The end result is filled with rustic textures, cozy country vibes, and an adorable blooming flower that looks like it came straight out of a handmade market booth.

It’s quick, easy, and perfect for adding a touch of homespun Americana to your summer decor!

p.s. Big thanks to Amanda over at @lovecrafteddecor for the inspiration! Her creations are absolutely adorable! Be sure to check out her feed for more crafty goodness.

You’ll need…

  1. Cut 20-25 strips of fabric that are about 7-8 inches long.
  2. Tie each strip of fabric to the mason jar lid using a single knot. Continue until the lid is completely covered.
  3. Lay your fabric flower onto the piece of wood and trim the ends of fabric, as needed. You basically want the flower to fit nicely within the size of the board without being too oversized.
  4. Cut a circular piece of white burlap that’s large enough to cover the hole in the jar lid. Glue the burlap down and push in the center slightly to give the center a domed shape.
  5. Glue your completed flower down onto one end of the board.
  6. Cut a piece of rope that’s about the length of the board. This will be your flower’s stem. Glue one end under the bottom flower petals, then add a drop of glue another inch down to secure the rope in place.
  7. As you get to the middle of the stem, tuck a couple of leaves under the rope to give your flower a more realistic look. Then leave the rest of the rope free – don’t glue it down.
  8. Cut a strip of red burlap next for the little flower pot. Fold the burlap over and glue the side and bottom to make your pot. Then glue the back of the pot to the bottom of your board.
  9. Trim the excess rope of your stem and tuck the end into the burlap pot.
  10. Grab some floral moss and tuck it into the pot for a final touch. (Glue it in place, if need be.)

Well, there you have it…another budget-friendly Dollar Tree DIY that turns out so stinkin’ cute! Whether you hang it in your kitchen, entryway, or give it as a gift, it’s a little piece of handmade happiness… and celebrates summer with your pups in the sweetest way!
