Follow these simple steps to create your own little beauties…

You’ll need…

Fabric Hoop Flower Supplies from Amazon

  1. To begin, cut fabric into 1.5 inch wide strips that are about 9 inches long. You’ll need about 25 – 30 strips or so. Any ragged edges or loose strings will give the flower a nice rustic appearance.
  2. Tie the strips to the outside embroidery hoop frame, one by one, until the entire hoop is filled in.
  3. Cut a nice size piece of burlap ribbon that’s large enough to cover the inside hoop and place it on top.
  4. Tuck the smaller hoop and burlap into the opening of the larger hoop and press the hoops together. Tighten the nut on the larger hoop to secure everything in place.
  5. Tie a short piece of twine to the hardware on the embroidery hoop and it’s ready to hang!

There you have it! A beautiful rag flower to hang up that celebrates your love for a furry best friend. These are so customizable – the sky’s the limit on colors and fabrics you can use! They could also make gorgeous package toppers if you enjoy presenting a beautifully wrapped package. Skip the string and glue them on to the top!
