08 Feb No-bake Holiday Bark for Dogs
You’re in for a REAL treat! This week, we’ve got a homemade recipe your pups are sure to love!
This unbelievably delicious, easy-to-make, all-natural No-bake Holiday Bark is the pawfect snack for Valentine’s…or any day of the year. In fact it’s so good, you’ll want to snatch a handful for yourself! 😋
Entirely made with dog-friendly ingredients, it features dog-safe carob (instead of chocolate), yogurt chips, coconut oil, and dried cranberries, which add a yummy tang to this pretty two-toned bark. We think the red/white color combo and dusting of dried coconut makes this no-bake bark look soooo festive!
You’ll need…
- 1 cup unsweetened carob chips
- 2 tbsp. coconut oil
- 1 cup yogurt chips
- 1 tbsp. dried unsweetened coconut flakes
- 2 tbsp. diced dried cranberries
- Parchment paper
- Small baking dish
Time Required: 60 minutes
Servings: A dozen yummy treats
- Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- Melt the carob chips and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a double-boiler, stirring constantly. If you choose to use the microwave to melt the carob, do so in 10 second increments. Be sure to stir in between cooking times, as it’s easy to overcook!
- Pour carob into the baking dish until evenly distributed along the bottom. Allow the layer to harden at room temperature.
- Melt yogurt chips and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a double-boiler or microwave.
- Pour melted yogurt over the carob layer.
- Sprinkle the diced dried cranberries and dust everything with dried coconut.
- Refrigerate for at least 45 minutes or until firm.
- Break into small pieces and enjoy!
Treats can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days or store in the freezer up to 3 months.
Aren’t these the most amazing Valentine’s Day dog treats?! You could even tie these up into cellophane bags with a bow and give them to your favorite dog-lovers, friends and family as tasty holiday gifts. We sure hope you and your little fuzzy sweetheart love this recipe as much as we do!
