29 Jan DIY Dollar Tree Paw Prints Heart Wreath
If you’re anything like us the pitter patter of puppy toes romping across your floor likely brings a smile to your face, but deep down those precious paw prints fill your heart with glee. So why not create a mutt-nificent masterpiece that celebrates the love and joy you share with your four-legged furry best friend?
For just about $2, this DIY Dollar Tree Paw Prints Heart Wreath is a quick, easy and inexpensive way to dress up your decor for Valentine’s Day – or any day you want to show off your puppy love.
You’ll need…
- Wire heart wreath frame – 14 inch
- Roll of paw print wrapping paper (best place to get it is Dollar Tree, but Amazon has it, too)
- Various red, white and burlap ribbons
- Hot glue gun and sticks
- Scissors
- Scotch tape (optional)
- Wire (optional)
Step 1
Cut your paper into 4-5 inch wide strips, crunch them up into a ball and open them into long scrunchy shapes.
Step 2
Wrap the long crinkly strips of paper around the wreath frame – every so often tacking the ends down with glue (or tape) – and continue wrapping until the wreath is completely covered.
Step 3
Criss-cross various ribbons (about 6-8 inches long) into a pile and tie them together in the center to make a messy bow. Tie a simple small bow and glue it in the center.
Step 4
Cut a piece of ribbon (or wire) and tie it around the top of the wreath for hanging.
How sweet is this? We just adore how the tippy-tap of tiny toes across this heart-shaped wreath dress up your home with a splash of rustic charm.
