There’s nothing better than fresh-baked treats made at home over the holidays. The aroma of fresh ginger, molasses and cinnamon in baked goods this time of year is Christmas to us. So it’s time to whip up a batch of adorable Gingerbread Pawprint Dog Treats! The batter is quick to toss together, very easy to work with, and result in “paw print perfection” when you use these adorable spoons.
You’ll need…
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- Pawprint spoon
Time Required: 15 minutes + 2o minutes cooking time
Servings: 24 yummy treats
- Combine flour, ginger and cinnamon in a large bowl.
- In a separate small bowl, mix the molasses, water, and oil.
- Add the liquid ingredients to the flour mixture, stirring until combined. Mix until batter is uniform in color.
- Roll dough into small balls then press with the pawprint spoon.
- Pour mixture into the broth and stir until combined.
- Bake at 325°F for 18-20 minutes.
Treats can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days or store in the freezer up to 3 months.
