10 Jan Felt Valentines Cookies
Time to celebrate the season with the most adorable heart cookies made from cozy felt (no baking needed 😉). And all supplies can easily be found in your craft stash, making this DIY super budget-friendly. (Or free. Yay!)
These Felt Valentine’s Cookies are so quick and easy – you can whip up a batch in no time at all. Simply grab a handful of colorful felt scraps, some embroidery thread and a little batting, and you can create sweet little decorations that add a whimsical touch and the perfect dash of puppy love to your Valentine’s Day celebrations.
You’ll need…
- Felt sheets in tan, white, pink, blue, purple, green and yellow
- Needle and embroidery thread
- Poly-Fil stuffing
- Fabric glue
- Scissors
- Cut out two identical heart shapes from tan felt. You can freehand the heart shape by drawing it directly onto the fabric, make a quick cardboard stencil to trace, or use a heart-shaped cookie cutter as a guide, if you have one on hand.
- Next, cut another heart shape from colored felt that’s a bit smaller than the tan ones (this will be the “frosting” for your cookie) and stitch a fun saying onto it using needle and thread.
- Glue the “frosting” colored heart onto one of the tan felt hearts.
- Then use your glue to attach both tan hearts together to make the cookie – but only glue the top and sides of the hearts together. (You’ll want to leave a space open at the bottom.)
- Lightly stuff the cookie with some polyfil and glue the opening closed.
This Valentine’s craft is so fun! And customizable!! You can craft and enjoy these little cuties in so many ways. Find a cute little dish and display cookies as a festive table centerpiece. Or you can hang them from a piece of twine, tuck them into a gift basket, or string them together to make a garland. They even make adorable teacher gifts for Valentine’s Day!
