12 Mar Baby’s Breath Bunny Stakes
Every now and then a craft comes along that feels a little like magic. What begins as a simple coil of rustic rope and jute twine from Dollar Tree gradually transforms into the sweetest little DIY bunny shape.
Dress it up with a cloud of baby’s breath in soft spring colors and tuck it into a bouquet. Your finished project is a little bunny who settles right in among the blooms and becomes a charming Easter decoration for your spring display.
It’s a simple Dollar Tree DIY craft that brings fresh seasonal charm to your décor!
You’ll need…
- Cut a length of rope that’s 2 feet long. Make a 3 inch circle at one end and glue the end in place. Wrap the other end in and around the circle twice and once you’re happy with the shape, glue the other end into place. The hole in the center should be about 2 inches big when it’s done.
Note, one end of the “wreath” shape will be heavier than the other. The heavy end will be the bottom of the bunny. - Cut two pieces of twine that are roughly 6 inches long and glue them to the top of the bunny shape for the ears.
- Pick your favorite colors of dried baby’s breath and glue them all around the wreath shape. Cover as much or as little of the rope as you’d like. Of course, the more you leave the rope showing, the more rustic your bunny will look.
- Take a skewer and push it through the heavy end of the wreath and glue it in place. Stick into a flower pot or bouquet of flowers and you’re done!
Optional: Don’t want to put it on a skewer? Cut a thin piece of ribbon or string and hang your baby’s breath bunny in the window for a sunny display!
Sometimes the most satisfying projects are the ones that transform the simplest materials into something unexpectedly beautiful. A little rope, a little twine, and a handful of delicate flowers turn into a decoration that feels perfectly at home in spring.
