OMGosh, this week’s craft is EGGstra cute! Plus it’s quick like a bunny and only takes about 10 minutes to make!

Before you know it, March will be here with our pups doing zoomies in the new green grass. So to welcome the warmer weather and longer days ahead, we’ve got somethin’ special that adds a little extra zip to your fluffy floofer’s style.

This DIY Bunny Dog Bandana is not only sweet and easy, it’s the paw-fect Spring accessory. Simply dig through your craft stash for scraps of your favorite fabric, pink and white felt, a pom pom, and some fabric glue – and you’re ready to create. In no time at all, you’ll hear oohs and ahhs from family and friends as they gush over your fashionable furry companion and their fresh new look!

You’ll need…

¼ – ½ yard cotton fabric
Pink and white felt fabric
Fabric glue
¼ inch pink pom po m
Scissors and pinking shear s
Measuring tap e (optional)
Bunny Heart graphic

The size of your dog bandana will depend on the size of your dog’s neck. As a guideline, you’ll start with a square piece of fabric for the base that is:
– 14 to 18 inch in size for small to medium sized dogs
– 22 to 26 inch in size for large to extra-large pups
Fold your square in half (diagonally) until the two points align and cut along the fold using pinking shears, so that you end up with two triangles of fabric. You’ll only need one triangle for this project. So the other can be set aside or used to make a second bandana.
Tip: Skip the first step and use a bandana your pup currently has as a template for the size and shape of fabric you need.
Cut a heart shape out of the pink felt and glue it to the lower corner area of the triangle.
Cut out a bunny shape from white felt and glue this to the bottom of the heart.
Use fabric glue to adhere the pom pom for a bunny tail.

That’s it! Tie the bandana loosely around your dog’s neck, creating a chic double knot. Be sure that it’s not too snug. You’ll know it fits perfectly when you can easily get a few of your fingers in between their neck and the cloth.
