19 Jun July 4th Beaded Centerpiece
Looking for something sweet and simple to add to your 4th of July setup? This week’s Dollar Tree DIY makes a beautiful centerpiece for your BBQ buffet and the prettiest front porch greeting for your guests!
With a couple beaded hoops, some red, white & blue flowers, and a strand of festive beads (all from your local Dollar Tree!) you can whip up a patriotic accent that’s cute, crafty, and totally budget-friendly.
Quick, easy, and perfect for when you want to sneak in a little craft time before the party starts!
You’ll need…
- Using pliers, unhook one end of a wood bead wreath and remove all but 4 wood beads.
- Pull the colored beads off of both patriotic bead garlands. String a red, white and blue bead onto the wreath hoop, then add four natural beads back onto the hoop and repeat this pattern until the hoop is filled with beads. Do the same with the other wreath.
- Bend the open wire through the other end of the wreath form to secure the ends together. Shape the wreath form back into a nice round circle, as needed. Then repeat these first few steps with the other wreath.
- Fit one bead wreath into the other in a criss-cross pattern. Wrap the bare wires with jute twine to secure the two pieces together.
- Cut a notch out of the top of your floral foam block and glue the bottom hoop into the space.
- Tuck a few flowers in and around the foam to create a lovely little bouquet.
- Make a small bow from jute twine and glue it to the heart accent from the bead garland.
- Use a stem from your bouquet of flowers (or a wooden skewer) and glue it to the back of the heart and tuck it into the floral foam.
Did you know? You could turn this patriotic table centerpiece to cheery hanging decor. Simply tie a small piece of twine at the top for a hanger.
What a fun, feel-good craft to get you in the spirit before the celebrations begin. In just a few minutes, your 4th of July decor gets a handmade Americana glow-up for all to enjoy!
