Bring the warmth of the holidays home with this week’s Dollar Tree DIY!

We’re transforming a velvety, red Santa hat into a cascading bouquet of poinsettias, roses, and winter greenery, topped with berries for the perfect pop of color.

This DIY is quick, cozy, and oh-so Christmassy! The kind of project that makes you want to pour a mug of cocoa, cue the holiday playlist, and craft the night away.

The look is soft, elegant, and so easy to love. Hang it by your door and let this merry mix of textures and colors greet guests with instant holiday cheer.

You’ll need…

• Red Santa hat
• Faux red pointsettias, white roses, berries, pinecones, and winter greens
• 3x4x4 inch floral foam
• 1.5 inch red velvet ribbon
• White tissue paper
• hot glue gun and sticks
• Scissors
• Wire cutters

1. Soften the edges of one side of your floral foam block by gently pressing the corners back and forth against your tabletop. Insert the rounded end into the Santa hat first so the sharp corners stay hidden once it’s in place.
2. Now it’s time to start building your bouquet! Work in layers, beginning at the back and moving toward the front. Start with a tall base of pine branches and winter greenery to give your arrangement fullness and height.
3. Next, layer in your flowers. Add white roses just in front of the greenery, then place your red poinsettias toward the front.
   Pro tip: The mix of light and dark layers gives your bouquet beautiful depth and contrast, allowing each flower to really shine.
4. Finish by tucking in a few berries, pinecones, or other festive embellishments wherever they feel right. A little texture and sparkle will bring your Santa hat bouquet to life!
5. Once your bouquet is complete, you can decide to add a bit of crumpled white tissue paper into the hat to fill out the shape around the sides, if you’d like.
6. To hang your bouquet, cut a long strip of red velvet ribbon that’s about 3.5 feet long and pin (or glue) one end into the top center of the floral foam. (The bouquet is too top-heavy to attach the ribbon to the back of the hat.) The other end of the ribbon goes over your door and is taped down.
