Velvet Pumpkin Fall Wreath

Who says you have to stick to the craft aisle? This week’s Dollar Tree DIY proves that inspiration can come from anywhere…even the party section!

We’re using sparkly gold-accented napkins (meant for bday and wedding celebrations!) to create Fa-boo-lous Paper Napkin Ghosts that shimmer with every move. Each ghost is topped with a darling bow, and some even carry shiny little pumpkins for an extra dose of festive fall flair.

Quick, easy, and totally unique! These ghosts are guaranteed to bring a smile (and maybe a little shimmer) to your spooky season! 👻✨

You’ll need…

  1. Glue a wooden bead onto the center of a wood slice. This will be the base for your ghost.
  2. Next glue one end of a small skewer (about 6-7 inches long) into that bead and the other end into a styrofoam ball.
  3. Cut away the corner of your napkin that is opposite the folded edges using a back and forth curvy motion. You’re basically removing one of the three corners of your napkin and just rounding off that area with a wavy cut.
  4. Open the napkin completely, then glue and drape it over the styrofoam ball. Start to shape the napkin over the ball and glue down some of the folds and edges to give it a more ghostly shape.
  5. Gently create folds for arms in the front and glue a small pumpkin to the folds to make it look like your ghost is holding the pumpkin.
  6. Draw two eyes and a mouth using a black Sharpie marker.
  7. Adhere a cute gold bow on top to give your girly ghost a little glam.

That’s it! These sweet ghosts are sparkly, spooky and oh-so boo-tiful. What a cute and girly accent to your Halloween décor!
