14 Aug Boujee Ribbon Ghosts
Summer’s wrapping up and spooky season is calling! So we’ve come up with a new Dollar Tree DIY that’s oh-so boo-tiful & boujee. 👻✨
All you’ll need is a small Styrofoam ball and plenty of white and silver ribbons from Dollar Tree to create that fabulous, flowy ghost vibe. Then, raid your craft stash for a cute topper (maybe a faux flower, a bit of costume jewelry, or a sweet dog ribbon bow?) to give her a touch of personality and sparkle. She’s chic, she’s spooky, and she’s ready to haunt in style!
Time to grab your ribbons, pick your favorite bling, and let’s make a ghost that’s more fab-boo-lous than frightening!
You’ll need…
- 2 inch styrofoam ball
- Assorted white and silver ribbons like this, this or this
- Black felt
- Dog ribbon
- Straight pins
- Fabric glue
- Scissors
- Wood skewers or fishing line (optional)
- Cut a bunch of ribbons that are 12-18 inches long. You’ll probably need about 14 or so, depending on the ribbons you use.
- Pin the middle of each ribbon to the top of the styrofoam ball. As you drape them over, space them apart so they cover the ball completely.
- Cut out two oval eyes from black felt and glue them to your ghost’s head.
- Glue or pin a cute embellishment to the top. We’ve made an adorable bow from a black and white dog ribbon, but you could top her off with a faux flower or some stylish bling instead.
There are so many ways to display your DIY girly ghost! Stick her onto a wooden skewer and place her in a vase or plant. Or you can hang her from a piece of fishing line with a few of her friends above the kitchen table or near the front door and watch them sway in the breeze.
That’s all there is to it! This do-it-yourself craft project is something anyone can do! It’s quick, fun, and budget-friendly, plus, it’s the perfect way to add a little sparkle to your Halloween decor.
