Dollar Tree DIY Rustic Wire Flower Easter Bouquet

Yup, you guessed it! Time for another Dollar Tree DIY. This year, we thought it would be fun to use a few goodies from around the store to make an Easter bouquet that’s got a little extra bloom. Best part? No green thumbs required!

Next time you shop, simply grab a decorative glass jar or small vase, some dried moss, your favorite spring flowers (we’re definitely team tulips this time of year!), and a roll of thin wire. Oh and a few speckled eggs thrown into your shopping basket might come in handy, too.

With just a few twists, you can make a rustic wire flower that will add a charming touch of whimsy to your decor! And if you’re doggie obsessed like we are, we’ll show you the cutest paw print charms to top them off. Boop!

You’ll need…

  1. Wrap a piece of raffia around the lip of your decorative jar or vase. Tie it off and trim the ends, as desired.
  2. Starting about 6 inches from the end, loosely wrap the wire around 3 fingers 6-8 times to make a bunch of loops. These will be petals for the DIY wire flower. (Don’t cut the wire from the spool just yet.)
  3. Pinch the loops in the middle and continue wrapping the wire around the center to secure the petals in place. Splay the loops on each side of the center to create your flower. No need to be perfect – the messier the loops bend and overlap, the more rustic your flower will look.
  4. Cut the wire away from the spool, leaving enough so that you can wrap the wire flower around the lip of your vase. Twist the ends to secure it in place.
  5. Since we always craft in celebration of our puppers, now would be the time to glue a wooden paw print embellishment onto the flower’s center. But you could use a small rustic charm or wooden button instead.
  6. Tuck your bouquet into the jar and fill it with moss. Then glue a few speckled eggs into the moss for some added color and holiday charm.

There you go! You’ve just created some beautiful, farmhouse decor that’s ready to impress. These are so much fun to make and we loved how simple they are to put together. Each wire flower only takes a minute to make and the end result is so amazing!
