5-minute DIY Picture Frame Ghosts

Hey besties! Join us for a frightfully good time making these super-simple 5-minute Picture Frame Ghosts.

With an assortment of U-shaped picture frames, a little paint, paper and tiny accessories, you can whip these up in no time at all! And they way they turn out?! Well, we’re obsessed…👻 EEK!!

Amazon has a trio of wooden frames that are just perfect for this quick and easy Halloween DIY. You can make these friendly ghosts and stash them all over the house or keep ‘em together as one happy haunting family. Get ready to see how you can add a touch of spooky-cute magic to your space with this simple yet charming DIY project.

You’ll need…

  1. Paint the front and sides of the wood frames with white paint (we used a dry-brush technique to give it a more rustic feel). Let dry.
  2. Remove the plexiglass inserts. Trace the smaller insert onto white printer paper and cut the shape out.
  3. Cut out two eyes from the black vinyl sticker paper and stick in place onto the white paper ghost shape. (You can also use black construction paper for the eyes, but you’ll need to glue them in place.)
  4. Replace the plexiglass back into the frame with the ghost-shaped paper sandwiched in between.
  5. Add a festive embellishment! Make a small bow with your favorite black and white ribbon and attach to the frame. Or you can glue a small pumpkin to the front as a ghoulish “corsage.”

Scary can be fun, but sometimes you gotta embrace the cute! You can showcase your delightfully spooktacular creations on a bookshelf, mantel, countertop – and in some unexpected places, too. You’re gonna love these!

Optional: These frames can hang from the attached hanger, or stand on their own. However, you can glue a small wood block to the center back of the frame for a bit more stability.
