18 Jul Dollar Tree DIY Let’s Pawty Balloon Wreath
Summertime is bright, fun and playful, and for us it also means it’s time to PAW-TAY! Our adorable fluffy floofers Hazel and Hank have birthdays a few days apart, so we get super excited mid-summer to plan for the festivities!
There’s nothing better than hosting your dog’s birthday party – from whipping up a batch of homemade pupcakes, to putting up streamers and dog-themed decorations, to playing games in the backyard. It means so much to make your pup’s day feel special!
And this Let’s Pawty Balloon Wreath is just what you need to welcome guests for the celebration. It’s such a quick and easy DIY that anyone can do! 🥳
Many of the supplies can be found at your local Dollar Tree, but if you need a Dollar Tree alternative check out the list below of similar items from Amazon.
You’ll need…
- 10 inch wreath form
- 175 balloons that are about 3 inches in size
- Stick pins
- Let’s Pawty cake topper
- Ribbon
- Basically, you pin all of the balloons to the wreath form until it’s completely covered.
- Tuck the cake topper into the bottom of the wreath form for a fun embellishment. Trim the wooden skewer to a shorter length, if needed.
- Tie a small scrap of ribbon around the top of the wreath to make a hanger. And you’re done!
Here are a few tips:
- To make the project go a little quicker, you can gather a bunch of balloons together (say 7-8 of them) and pin them all at once onto the form instead of pinning one at a time.
- Balloons are cheap so have an extra bag or two on hand. You may end up with one color more than another, so additional bags give you better color options or you may just need more than you think.
- Concentrate on filling the wreath form in the front and sides. You can fill in gaps on the inside, where needed, but you most likely won’t need to cover the wreath form on the back (since it won’t be seen).
Most of all, have fun! The end result is super cute, colorful and the pawfect way to let the world know how much your little birthday bestie means to you!
