14 Aug DIY Yappy Hour Drinking Station
Suns out, funs out! Whether ya have a pup that loves soaking up the sun or romping through the backyard, it’s important to keep your doggos hydrated. And today’s DIY project is a wonderful way to provide your furry best friend with a nice cool drink throughout the hot, hot days of Summer. So gather ’round the watering hole, yappy hour is ON!
And the nice thing about this stylish DIY Yappy Hour Drinking Station? No green thumbs needed!
You’ll need…
- Paint pens
- Two terracotta pots
- Hot glue gun and sticks
Step 1
Before you start, be sure the water bowl you have fits nicely inside your clay pot. The edge of the bowl should sit securely on the top of the pot.
Step 2
Pick out your favorite colors of paint pens and draw some fun paw print shapes around the rim of one pot. Then, write Yappy Hour, a favorite phrase, or your pup’s name on the front…so everyone knows just who this fun garden item is for.
Step 3
Once everything has dried, glue the bottom of your custom painted pot to the bottom of another clay pot. This’ll give your pup’s watering station a little lift, so they don’t have to bend down to wet their whistle.
Step 4
Set the stainless steel bowl into the pot opening and fill it with water.
These terra cotta stations make drinking water readily accessible for your pups at play and a fun feature in your garden. And we just love how easy it is to create one that’s uniquely your own!
