10 Apr DIY Easter Doggie Sweets n’ Treats Sack
The Easter holiday is filled with childhood memories of tiny fingers twirling eggs in bowls of rainbow colored dyes, fluffy stuffed bunnies sitting atop long-handled baskets, and little ones scanning the backyard blades of grass for bright plastic eggs and delighting in the surprises inside. Well, today we thought it’d be fun to include your darling doggies into your child’s Easter celebration by making this adorable DIY Easter Doggie Sweets n’ Treats Sack!
Let’s hop to it!
You’ll need…
- White, pink and brown construction paper
- Googly eyes
- Sharpie marker
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Hole punch (optional)
- Ribbon (optional)
Step 1
First step is to make a little paper sack from the white piece of paper. This quick and easy tutorial shows you just how! Or if you have a brown lunch sack already made, you can skip this step. 🙂
Step 2
For this project, the bag you made will need to be shorter, so cut about 2.5 inches off of the top.
Step 3
To make the bunny ears….cut out the ear shapes using white and pink paper. Glue the pieces together and attach them to the top of the bag (just inside the front lip of the bag).
Then cut a thin strip of pink paper and glue it across the top of the bag.
Step 4
Using the brown construction paper, cut out the dog ears and a spot for the eye. Glue in place.
Step 5
To make the face, simply glue down two large googly eyes and draw a nose and mouth with your marker.
Fill with candy and treats and you’re done! (If you’d like to secure the bag closed, you can punch two holes in the top and use a small piece of ribbon to tie the bag closed.)
Isn’t this just pawsitively precious?! And the best part is you can easily customize this to match your own dog at home.
