15 Nov DIY Red Truck & Rover Centerpieces
Grab your overalls and your cowboy boots, we’re goin’ country this TDIF! We found this amazing metal red truck at Hobby Lobby the other day and it has inspired us to create two wonderful DIY Red Truck & Rover Centerpieces for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays!
Best of all, you may just have all of the other supplies you need in your holiday craft stash at home. Yee haw, this one’s gonna be fun!
You’ll need…
- A metal red pickup truck
- A small dog figurine or two (if you can’t find a figurine, then dog ornaments work well too!)
- Any combination of imitation fall leaves, flowers, pumpkins or pinecones, mini hay bales, other fall embellishments
- Small decorative Thanksgiving sign
- 2-3 miniature pine trees
- A mix of red silk flowers, twigs, small glass orb ornaments or other winter embellishments
- Small decorative Christmas sign
Step 1
Using the red truck as the base of your centerpiece, fill the back of the truck with pumpkins and pinecones (etc.), making sure there’s enough room for your small sign.
Step 2
Next, tuck any pumpkins, pine cones, leaves around the side of your truck so that it looks good from any seat at the table.
Step 3
Find your favorite spot for the miniature hound dog/s and finish adding any final embellishments until you think it’s good to go.
Then, when Christmas rolls around, swap out the fall items with your winter holiday ones. That’s it!
A quick and super easy dog-lovin’ centerpiece that (with just a few minor adjustments) is perfect from one season to the next. Feel free to get the kids in on this, too! They’ll have a rootin’ tootin’ good time!
